Summary

With Seagen’s mission to rapidly bring practice-changing innovations to the oncology landscape, our Canadian team is expanding with the addition of a field-based market access role in support of a growing team.

Reporting to the Director, Value, Access, and Pricing, the Senior Manager will be accountable for developing and executing provincial market access strategy and tactics across Seagen Canada’s portfolio in Western Canada. The incumbent will provide strategic insights and intelligence to enable reimbursement. The incumbent will be customer-focused, building and maintaining trusting and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. The incumbent will also contribute and shape the overall value strategy across the portfolio in collaboration with cross-functional team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyze, develop, and implement recommendations and strategies regarding provincial policies and challenges that impact Seagen Canada’s portfolio;
  • Execution of provincial market access strategies and tactics with external stakeholders (including, but not limited to provincial drug plans, provincial cancer agencies, private payers & patient advocacy groups)
  • Analyze, synthesize, and translate technical market access information, including coverage and reimbursement policies, into meaningful decision points, recommendations, and strategic tactics;
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive understanding of stakeholder needs in Western Canada, working alongside cross-functional colleagues to effectively engage with stakeholders
  • Support development of Canadian market access deliverables including HTA submissions; local evidence generation plans; negotiation strategies, and provincial market access tactics to secure reimbursement;
  • Support HTA payer and advocacy engagement plan

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in science or business
  • 5+ years for Senior Manager of relevant experience (e.g., Market Access or Stakeholder Relations)
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system and provincial reimbursement, as well as key payer trends, opportunities, and challenges
  • Advanced ability to build trusting and collaborative relationships and partnerships with key external and internal stakeholders
  • Experience in oncology strongly preferred
  • Existing network of relevant stakeholders in Western Canada strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Travel requirements: 60% regional travel required. Must reside within region and live within a reasonable distance of a major airport
  • Language requirements: Proficient in English. French is an asset
  • Preferred location: Vancouver, BC
