Summary
The Executive IT Support specialist is primarily responsible for providing support to C-level staff, other company executives, and their assistants. This position also supports Executive support technicians. To be successful, this person must be self-directed, motivated, organized, and results-driven. Candidates in this role must have excellent listening skills, oral and written communication skills, and relationship building skills. Role includes participating in: setting the strategy, establishing standards, and setting SLA’s. Will be interacting and forming a trusted relationship across the EC and their admins, tracking, troubleshooting, leading, and mentoring the team, resolving executive computer issues, as well as proactive monitoring and support. Additionally, this role will set standards and support executive meetings including but not limited to data readouts, board meetings, offsites, conferences and others. The role owns collaboration with all other IT functions to ensure consistency of experience and assisting in other work efforts across Global Enterprise IT Strategy and Solutions, as needed. The successful candidate will possess deep technical knowledge in the required fields, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills and a keen sense of how to get in understand the problem quickly and resolve it to high satisfaction levels.
Principal Responsibilities:
- 24/7/365 availability to support Seattle Genetics Executives and Administrative assistants
- Successful and timely resolution of all Executive support requests
- Travel on occasion required
- Ability to handle off-hour requests in an expedited manner
- High touch IT support with focus on outstanding customer service
- Being a single point of contact to triage, troubleshoot, resolve, escalate IT issues to other IT teams if needed
- Cross train other IT support staff in Executive support roles when necessary
- Participate in on-going technical, customer-service training
- Standout ability to decipher technical IT information and clarify it for Executive support staff
- Proven ability to provide professional written and verbal status reports. Create How-to documents and diagrams for future reference
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe work environment throughout the enterprise
- Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of sensitive and/or classified types of information documents
- Perform complex technical installations and configurations of PC and iOS devices and hardware
- Participate in asset tracking, inventory management, vendor management, and process improvement activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in IT support activities with focus on VIP/Executive level support
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in supporting Microsoft desktops/laptops, Apple mobile devices such as iPads, iPhones etc.
- CompTIA A+, Network+ are required
- Experience in technical troubleshooting of network, computer, telecom issues
- Experience with a variety of platforms including PC’s, Apple devices, Microsoft devices, Audio Visual and others used in the day-to-day activities
- Familiarity with Infrastructure, Messaging, Security, and Mobility platforms desirable
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the Seattle Genetics organization
- Ability to de-escalate tense situations to problem-solve effectively
- Ability to absorb and retain information quickly and to present ideas in a user-friendly language
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional customer service skills
- 2+ years’ experience in a supervisor or lead role
Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required. Prefer Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field
